About this watch
Rolex Yellow Gold Lady-Datejust 28 Watch - Fluted Bezel - Champagne Diamond Dial - Jubilee Bracelet - 279178 chdj
Driven by Rolex's perpetual, self-winding caliber 2236, the champagne diamond dial Lady-Datejust 279178 represents a significant evolution in the brand's women's mechanical watchmaking. This 28mm yellow gold case houses a movement entirely manufactured in-house, featuring a Syloxi hairspring made from silicon—a material that enhances precision and resistance to magnetic fields and temperature variations. The fluted bezel, a signature Rolex design element dating back to the 1930s, serves both aesthetic and functional purposes, originally designed to help screw the bezel onto the case to ensure water resistance. Reference 279178 combines traditional luxury materials with contemporary horological innovation, creating a timepiece that bridges classical elegance with modern engineering excellence.
