About this watch
Rolex Yellow Gold Datejust 36 Watch - Fluted Bezel - White Index Dial - Jubilee Bracelet - 116238 wsj
Introduced in 2000, the reference 116238 marked a pivotal evolution in Datejust architecture, becoming the first 36mm yellow gold Datejust to house the then-revolutionary Caliber 3135 movement with its enhanced power reserve and improved shock resistance. This pristine example showcases the classic white index dial configuration against the warmth of solid 18k yellow gold case construction, creating the quintessential dress watch proportions that defined luxury timekeeping at the millennium's turn. The Rolex Datejust 116238 represents the final generation before the introduction of the newer 3235 caliber, cementing its place as a benchmark reference in yellow gold Datejust collecting circles.
