About this watch
Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer II Watch - 216570 bk
This unworn Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer II reference 216570 showcases the collection's signature black dial within a robust 42mm stainless steel case. Introduced in 2011, the 216570 marked a significant evolution in the Explorer II lineage, increasing case diameter from the previous 40mm while maintaining the tool watch DNA that has defined this GMT-capable timepiece since 1971. The pristine condition of this particular example preserves every detail as Rolex intended, from the luminous Mercedes hour hand to the distinctive orange GMT hand that serves as the watch's most recognizable identifier. Built for polar explorers and cave researchers who require reliable 24-hour time indication in environments where day and night blur together, this Explorer II continues the legacy established by legendary spelunker Michel Siffre.
